Holly Holm could easily have been on this list for 2014, but injury took care of that. However, in the long run it may have helped her. Holm was the best female bantamweight not already in the UFC. Many see her as a threat to champion Ronda Rousey. She's a boxing champion in multiple weight classes, and undefeated in seven professional MMA fights. While injuries have delayed her debut, they may have added to her story, and the promotion can now market the "overcoming adversity" angle if need be. Rousey has already said she wants to fight her, so Holm could actually see a title shot with just one dominant win.
