This is a fight that fans wanted, hoped would happen, that should have happened... and now it probably won't happen. Here's the back story: T.J. Dillashaw upset Renan Barao in May to win the undisputed UFC bantamweight title. Disputing said undisputed title (though respectfully), is Dominick Cruz, who was stripped of the title while out nearly three years due to injury, including a torn ACL. Cruz came back in Autumn, destroyed Takeya Mizugaki, and was all lined up for a crack and getting back the title he had never actually lost in the cage... and then just before Christmas he announced he had torn his other ACL. Cruz may need to consider living in a giant bubble between fights and easing back on the training. Maybe spar with a few plushies and work on no more than ten jumping jacks per day. All joking aside, however, we wish him a speedy recovery, though it's doubtful he'll be seen in the octagon again until 2016.
