10 Most Shocking Red Cards In Premier League History
4. Luis Suarez - April 21, 2013
He may be one of the world's best players, but the current Barcelona frontman has been involved in a fair few controversies over the years. He'd already been charged with biting a player during his Ajax days, but the Uruguayan obviously has a taste for defenders. Following on from his racist abuse of Patrice Evra, Suarez was yet again making the headlines for all the wrong reasons after he stuck his gnashers into Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic. The Liverpool striker had already given away a penalty before he grabbed the defender's shirt off the ball, sinking his teeth into the Serbian's shoulder. Having gone unnoticed by the officials during the game though, the striker avoided immediate punishment and scored a crucial 97th-minute equaliser for the Reds. However, with the incident was of course caught on camera and Suarez was slapped with a 10-game ban - not that it taught him anything as he went on to commit the same offence for the THIRD time when he bit Italy's Giorgio Chiellini in a World Cup fixture in 2014.
