10 NFL Teams Most Likely To Play In Next Year's Super Bowl
5. Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks started the 2015 season 2-4 and looked a shadow of their former selves. After that, they only lost 2 more on route to a 10-6 record, which including a 36-6 rout of the NFC West Champions Arizona in the final week of the season. Seattle were typically solid defensively last year (leading the league with the fewest points allowed), despite being hit by injuries and offensively Russell Wilson proved himself yet again, leading the league in QB rating (110.1). Despite having one of the toughest schedules in the NFL, Seattle managed to impress once again in 2015. Despite the positives, free agency could be the Seahawks undoing this year, especially if they can not hold onto proven talent such as Kearse and Irvin. Marshawn Lynch's retirement will also be used to argue against the Seahawks going all the way next year, but if Rawls 5.6 yards per game last season shows, the rushing game should not be an issue for Seattle next year. The Pete Carroll effect should not be underestimated either, and if he can build a squad for 2016 as well as he has done in recent years the Seahawks should be near the top of the NFC come week 17.
