2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tampa was just involved in the trade that sent prized cornerback Darrelle Revis from the Jets in exchange for draft picks. During the time of the negotiations, the Jets discussed putting a quarterback in the deal with Revis. Both Sanchez and Tebow's names were mentioned in the Revis deal, but Tampa wanted no part of either quarterback involved and coming to their team in 2013. The New York Daily News was the one to report that the Buccaneers wanted no part of Tebow in that deal.
It was an interesting thought, but I'm told Jets + Buccaneers have not discussed Tim Tebow as part of a potential Darrelle Revis trade. #nyj
Josh Freeman is on his last leg as the starter in Tampa, and with his tied to the state of Florida, Tebow could have made sense as a backup. But Greg Schiano didn't feel the need to bring him in, and certainly didn't want him in that trade before the draft. They decided on re-signing backup Dan Orlovsky instead. It's a pretty bold no if you look at it.
