Roberto Soldado is a controversial one given that he's only experienced one season at White Hart Lane, so the jury will still be out for some supporters, but so far? Things couldn't have gone much worse for the Spanish striker. Arriving in London at the prime age of 28 and with a wealth of top flight experience, Soldado was expected to hit the ground running for Spurs following his £26 million switch from Valencia. However the only accolade he achieved was a spot in the Daily Telegraph's list of the '10 worst buys of the Premier League season'. Prior to Tottenham, 114 goals in his previous 207 games had seen him break into a Spanish national side bursting with world class talent, and Soldado would have hoped to force his way into the 2014 World Cup squad, but unfortunately the forward struggled to make an impact, netting just six league goals. With a new manager and a fresh campaign ahead of him, Spurs fans will be hoping Soldado finally delivers the goods, and perhaps he will, but then perhaps not. Either way, it would be hard to believe that Roberto isn't beginning to regret his arrival in England.
