9. Yossi Benayoun

The Israeli playmaker had the potential to be something special at West Ham, but after two relatively successful seasons with the Hammers, he left, somewhat controversially to join Liverpool. This was after verbally agreeing to sign a new contract with us, for much higher wages than he was offered at Liverpool too. He showed flashes of his quality at Liverpool, but after a disappointing move to Chelsea and two unsuccessful loan spells - one of which was back at West Ham again, where he played only a handful of matches and scored no goals - he is currently playing in the Israeli league for Maccabi Haifa.
