Captain Nigel Reo-Coker was at the heart of our midfield in the years leading up to and immediately following our dramatic promotion back to the Premier League in 2005. After Alan Pardew was sacked in 2006 when we found ourselves in danger of relegation, Reo-Coker was singled out as one of the main factors towards our downfall. Despite helping keep us up that year - with much help from a certain Carlos Tevez - Reo-Coker searched for and found another club in Aston Villa. After a half decent spell with Aston Villa, and a couple of forgettable stints at Bolton and Ipswich, Reo-Coker is currently playing in the MLS.
