10 Players Sam Allardyce Could Bring With Him To Sunderland
8. Jose Enrique
Jose Enrique was strongly linked to Sunderland at the end of the transfer window, but a deadline day move didn't transpire. The Spanish left-back was signed for Newcastle by Sam Allardyce, and he was one of the few bright spots during Big Sam's reign there. The 29-year-old was an astute signing on Tyneside and earned a move to Liverpool, though his chances of first team football have been virtually non-existent since his move. He was widely expected to move on in order to salvage his career, but remains on Merseyside. If Patrick Van Aanholt doesn't pick up, Enrique could be a straight-forward signing in January.
