Signing for £1.5 million from West Bromwich Albion, Paul McShane spent much of his solitary season on Wearside flying into clumsy tackles to make up for his awful positioning. This was far from the only flaw in his game; he also boasted poor aerial ability and a complete lack of composure. Against all odds, McShane is currently doing the best out of any player on this list - occasionally coming off the bench for Hull. He did just that in last year's FA Cup final, displaying his talents as Hull helplessly surrendered their two goal advantage to Arsenal.
