The 23 year old plays a defensive-midfield role and would surely be able to marshal a Foxes' defence that conceded 55 goals last season. Capable of a strong tackle, the former under-21 French international may not bring the experience or leadership that the aforementioned Cambiasso possessed but he will give the Midlands club plenty of youth and potential. Leicester City currently have on average the second oldest squad within the Premier League so Mendy would be a welcome addition for Claudio Ranieri and his new club. Mendy has previously played under Ranieri at French giants Monaco and left a huge impression upon his Italian boss, with the 63 year old comparing him to Chelsea legend Claude Makelele.
