10 Players That Leicester City Could Sign To Avoid Relegation
8. Curtis Davies (Hull)
A past Leicester player that the club could soon look to re-sign. Having previously been on loan from Aston Villa in 2010, Davies, 30, would be welcomed back to the club with open arms. The Englishman has managed to forge himself a reputation of being an extremely reliable defender at Premier League and Championship level as a result of spells at clubs such as Birmingham City, West Bromwich Albion and Hull City. Davies could prove to be a smart acquisition for Leicester as they could do with some defensive reinforcements for the new season. Following the signing of Robert Huth, the Foxes only have him, Liam Moore and Marcin Wasilewski available for selection. Captain Wes Morgan has been granted extended holiday time by new manager Claudio Ranieri following the Jamaican's participation in the Copa America and the Gold Cup during the off-season. Couple that with the release of Matthew Upson and Leicester are left with limited options in the centre-back position. So, Davies could be quite an astute purchase for Ranieri and co. The English defender has managed to rack up 387 appearances during his career so would bring a wealth of experience and ability to the Midland club's backline. Davies may also wish to leave Hull City following their relegation to the Championship and could be keen on a return to the King Power Stadium.
