10 Players You Totally Forgot Played For Spurs

1. Dave Beasant

Dave Beasant is the archetype footballing journeyman, having played for no less than fifteen clubs in a career that spanned 35 years - albeit with a nine year gap before coming out of retirement to play for Calor League Division One Central club North Greenford United in a 2-0 defeat against Chalfont St Peter in 2013. The twice-capped Englishman enjoyed successful spells at the likes of Wimbledon, Chelsea, Southampton and Nottingham Forest before before joining Portsmouth in 2001 - the same year he would join Spurs on loan for two months between November of that year and January of 2002. Beasant was 42-years-old at the time and was only brought in as cover. He didn't play a single game, but his time at the club is certainly one that went under the radars of most fans, given the underwhelming nature of the signing of a man of his age on loan and the fact that he didn't get on the pitch. So there you have it - ten players who you totally forgot had ever played for Spurs. Did you enjoy this article? Had you forgotten these plays had been at White Hart Lane?
