10 Reasons Luis Suarez Is Irreplacable At Liverpool

10. The Weight Of Responsibility

Without Suarez€™ plethora of goals and assists, the burden of responsibility will weigh too heavily upon the shoulders of Daniel Sturridge, with the likes of Raheem Sterling and Lazar Markovic needed to become goalscoring behemoths overnight. A long campaign awaits the Merseyside club, with spine-tingling Tuesday and Wednesday evenings in store, but the already-threadbare squad depth will almost certainly suffer for it. The likes of Divock Origi and Lazar Markovic are potentially decent additions, but are certainly not sufficient plugs to fill the gaping holes left by the Suarez€™ absence. Liverpool simply won€™t score as many goals as they did with the former Ajax clinician; that is simply a fact. When Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez were plucked from the Manchester United first XI, so too was the Premier League crown, the Mancunians surrendering the title on goal difference. The Liverpool squad is blessed with youth, exuberance and frightening pace. But Raheem Sterling is not yet the type of player to step up and score 10-15 Premier League goals in a season. With too much expectation and pressure heaped upon the shoulders on these young players, it could crush them.
