At age 34, Argentinian midfield general Esteban Cambiasso was remarkably released by Inter Milan at the end of the 2013/14 season after ten successful years at the club.

Despite winning five Serie A titles and the Champions League with the side, Cambiasso was suddenly left without a club after making 33 appearances for Inter that campaign.

Yet, instead of staying put in a league he was quite comfortable in or even returning to Argentina, Cambiasso decided he fancied one last big adventure. So, he set his eyes on a dramatic move over to England.

Instead of signing for an established Premier League giant, though, the former Real Madrid man astonishingly opted to join Nigel Pearson's recently promoted Leicester City on a free transfer.

However, despite definitely grabbing the headlines upon signing on the dotted line and even winning Leicester's Player of the Year award, the classy legend eventually decided to leave the club after just one season. He'd then go on to sign for Olympiakos and his former club Leicester would unbelievably secure the Premier League title in the season following his exit.

He may not have been part of the famous Foxes side which did the unthinkable, but the unanticipated big name signing of Cambiasso hinted at bigger things to come for the side and Leicester fans will never forget the part he played in keeping the side up during his short time at the club.
