Despite his current manager's frustrating tendency to play him in midfield, Wayne Rooney is on course to be the greatest striker ever to play in the Premier League and for the English national team. Currently, he has scored 179 goals in England's top division meaning at 29 years-of-age, he is just 81 behind Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer in the goal scoring ranks, with arguably 6 or 7 years still left in him. Even more impressively, on the international stage, the Scouse striker has scored 46 goals, which puts him just three behind the all-time record holder Sir Bobby Charlton. And to top it off, he has already made 101 appearances for England which means he should beat 125 appearance record set by Peter Shilton. Rooney made his debut for his boyhood club Everton in 2002, making an immediate impact against one of the best sides ever seen in the Premier League era. Less than two years later he moved to Manchester United for almost £27 million, and since then his career has gone from strength to strength with an embarrassingly rich haul of trophies. But despite the limelight, Rooney is mostly a fairly secretive animal: revelations of his private life have been kept to a minimum compared to the likes of David Beckham (aside from a few ruinous occasions), and it would be fair to say that there is more unknown about the former Everton player than is widely known...

Oh, and one of these was while his wife, Coleen, was pregnant.

First off, Rooney allegedly paid for secret hotel sex sessions with a £1,000-a-night prostitute while his wife was pregnant with their second child. He apparently slept with Jennifer Thompson, 21, seven times over four months.

And back in 2004, the Sunday Mirror twice exposed him for cheating on Coleen with prostitutes.
