10 Things Floyd Mayweather Wants You To Forget

3. Racial Tensions

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjiV0hCUpSQ One of the more troubling aspects of the failed attempts to secure a fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao was how the dispute spilled over into something decidedly unsavoury. In September 2010, Mayweather uploaded a Ustream video in which he embarked on a ten-minute rant disparaging the Filipino fighter. Spurred on by members of his entourage, the American repeatedly insulted Pacquiao, making threats to "cook that little yellow chump € with some cats and dogs" and have him "make me a sushi roll and cook up some rice." Mayweather also used homophobic slurs, referred several times to his rival as a "midget" and threw in allegations that Pacquiao was using performance-enhancing substances. In 2012, Mayweather also made controversial comments on Twitter about Asian American basketball player Jeremy Lin, and while it may be going a step too far to conclude that the boxer is a racist, such incidents go a long way to explaining why he has struggled to be accepted in the same way as some other boxers.

I watch movies and I watch sport. I also watch movies about sport, and if there were a sport about movies I'd watch that too. The internet was the closest thing I could find.
