2. An Opportunity Of A Lifetime For Bobby Green
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IcHMGt0QgOM Bobby Green has earned a reputation for fighting on short notice. He embraces new challenges and proved that in beating Pat Healy last December. That was one month after defeating James Krause. People have recognized his courage and how big his heart is. That comes
from a rough childhood, where he lived in an estimated 50 different houses. Over the past year, Green has had to deal with a broken ankle, raising a two month baby girl, and his brother who died in a drive-by shooting. His story has been mesmerizing to follow and now has an opportunity to fight against one of the top lightweights in the world in Josh Thomson. While Green is dealing with a major step-up in competition, he's very unpredictable and has the striking to cause problems. In the fight against Healy, his head movement and counter striking was phenomenal. Don't expect Thomson to charge forward at a slow pace like Healy did. I'm expecting him to be far more unpredictable and to mix his combinations up with takedowns. There aren't many fighters in the world that are more well-rounded than Thomson. That's what makes this fight so intriguing, even though Green is untested. The odds for an upset isn't likely, but we could see a more competitive fight than advertised.
