Stipe Miocic took the heavyweight title at UFC 198 from Fabricio Werdum, and then KO'd Alistair Overeem at UFC 203. Miocic's defeated foes face off at UFC 213, with the winner possibly next in line for a title shot.

This itself is a trilogy fight, with both guys holding a win apiece. Werdum submitted Overeem with a kimura back in 2006 in Pride, before Overeem took a decision in 2011 in Strikeforce.

A loss here for either man will likely shut the door on ever regaining the heavyweight championship unless they want to fight into their forties. Both bounced back from their Miocic losses with wins, and it's tough to pick a winner for this bout.

Werdum's last fight was a unanimous decision win over Travis Browne last September. While he clearly won the fight, it wasn't one for the purists, and is perhaps best known for Werdum teep kicking Edmond Tarverdyan after he stormed the cage to remonstrate with the Brazilian for reasons best known to himself. Overeem knocked out Mark Hunt with some scary knees back in March in a redemptive performance.
