The reigning bantamweight champion will be one-half of the main event in her second title defence. The Brazilian claimed the title in impressive style one year ago this week against Miesha Tate at UFC 200, and will once again main event the International Fight Week pay-per-view.

In her win over Tate, and her subsequent shellacking of Ronda Rousey in December, Nunes showed off the evolution of her striking game. Best known as a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, her striking technique has improved dramatically. Always possessing knockout power, she's learned how to utilise that from a great distance. With incredible torque on her hips, her power doesn't suffer at all from long range, landing bombs on her opponent's chin at full extension.

Against Tate, she was able to bludgeon her on the feet, before showing off the deadly ground game to win the belt. She didn't need that ground game at all against Rousey, lighting her up consistently as Ronda couldn't close the distance. Herb Dean had no choice but to save Rousey after just 48 seconds in a star making performance from Nunes.
