10 U20 World Cup Stars Premier League Sides Should Sign

6. Rodrigo Amaral

Posted by Rodrigo Amaral onĀ Saturday, September 3, 2016

Currently At: Nacional (becomes a free agent in the summer)

Position: Forward

This skilful dribbler adorns Uruguay's most valuable number ten shirt, worn by the likes of Diego Forlan, it's not hard to imagine why Amaral is considered one of the hottest young prospects in South American football.

The tricky dribbler with an eye for goal, Amaral is a left-footed striker who is gifted with majestic long-range shooting. Amaral is a complete presence on the pitch, built in the mould of a young Wayne Rooney. Amaral prefers to operate in and around the box as a second striker and even drops deeper at times to act as an orthodox No.10.

Set-piece expert Amaral also possesses a deft touch and is proficient using both feet. Captaining Uruguay to the sem-finals, contributing a goal and two assist, it is hard to fathom why Nacional are releasing him this summer but a chance to snap up the heir to Diego Forlan on a free should not be passed up by Premier League sides this summer

Clubs That He'd Suit: Everton, West Ham
