When the groups were drawn, many fans agreed that France had been one of the luckiest of the big sides. In Group C, they'll go up against Denmark, Peru, and Australia and are major favourites to win the group and perhaps even go on to win the whole tournament.

Their toughest fixture, however, should come against the Danish, who could be one of the surprise squads at this World Cup. Featuring the mercurial midfield talent of Tottenham's Christian Eriksen, Denmark can also call on the excellent Thomas Delaney, Kasper Schmeichel, Michael Krohn-Dehli, and Yussuf Poulsen to pose a real test to Les Bleus, who will be looking to players like Antoine Griezmann, Paul Pogba, and Kylian Mbappé to make short work of most opposition.

These two sides have clashed in World Cups past, with a 2-0 win for Denmark in 2002 and a 2-1 win for the French back in 1998. The French should win this group with relative ease, but a slip-up against Denmark isn't impossible.
