10 World Cup 2018 Stars Who Could Be Transferred
7. Benjamin Pavard (Stuttgart)
Benjamin Pavard was a bit of a surprise inclusion in Didier Deschamps' France squad but proved to be a shrewd selection, becoming France's starting right-back over the course of the tournament and ending up with a World Cup winner's medal around his neck. The 22-year-old, who was a relative unknown before the tournament began, has seen his stock rise tremendously over the last few weeks.
Formerly of Lille, Pavard currently plays with Stuttgart in the Bundesliga. He's appeared just 12 times for France, with his only goal being that fantastic long range blast against Argentina in the round of 16. Capable of playing in central defence as well as out on the right, Pavard's main strengths are his awareness, positioning, and the smart timing of his tackles and interventions.
The Express, among other sources, have linked Pavard with a £31 million move to German giants Bayern Munich, but other clubs are said to be interested. Specifically, London clubs Arsenal and Tottenham have been linked with a bid for the youngster. With today's prices, adding a World Cup winner to your squad for just over £30 million actually seems like a bit of a bargain, so it wouldn't be surprising to see a bit of a bidding war break out for Pavard in the days and weeks to come.
