10 World Footballers Premier League Clubs Should Sign This Summer

Despite its outdated reputation for defensive football, Serie A has been great for strikers this season. Lazio's Ciro Immobile has found the net some 29 times, while Inter forward Mauro Icardi sits second in the standings with an almost-as-impressive 26.

Both of them are sure to attract the attention of scouts from the Premier League, but the latter looks a more attractive proposition, partly because he's a couple of years younger, but mainly because his record in front of goal has been far less patchy.

Should he decide to leave the San Siro this summer, Chelsea is perhaps the club where his services would be most welcome. Their current front-man, Alvaro Morata, has so far failed to live up to his price-tag, while Olivier Giroud, at 32, is a short-term solution.

It will take a massive offer to prise him away from Italy, though, where he has spent all of his professional career since arriving from Barcelona as a youth player in 2011. The West Londoners have the money in theory, but - relative to the competition - they've scaled back their spending in the last three years.
