Age at first goal: 17 years, 166 days The most obscure name on this list, Andy Turner scored his goal in the inaugural season of the Premier League. Not only was the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder the youngest goalscorer, but he was also the youngest player to appear in the Premier League at the time. He scored his first goal against Everton, a deflected injury time winner, and was talked of as being a potential England international. Things certainly got off to a brilliant start for the Lilleshall graduate. What happened next? Turner struggled to hold down a place in the Spurs first team and was loaned out to the likes of Wolves, Doncaster and Huddersfield Town. After leaving Tottenham permantently he spent two years at Portsmouth before spending a nomadic career in the lower divisions, rarely spending more than a single season anywhere. By the time he retired playing for non-league Chasetown in 2008 he had represented 19 clubs. It's fair to say he didn't have the career many expected when he was breaking Premier League records.
