11 Most Memorable Spurs Premier League Goals

7. Christian Ziege Vs Arsenal

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rabhe_VQLug Date: Sunday the 15th of December 2002 Venue: White Hart Lane Score: 1-1 (This goal put Spurs 1-0 up) As with any other North London derby goal on this list, goals against Arsenal are always special for Spurs, but this one was extra special. Former Spurs player - and one of the most hated men at White Hart Lane - Sol Campbell was partly responsible for this goal, which made it extra special. The England centre back's foul on Gustavo Poyet after eleven minutes was punished by referee Neale Barry and German international Christian Ziege stepped up to take the resulting free kick. The left-sided player struck the dead ball from fully 30 yards and his shot curled spectacularly away from David Seaman in the Arsenal goal. Robert Pires spoiled the potential party however, by scoring a penalty on the stroke of half time - after American goalkeeper Kasey Keller had inexplicably taken down Thierry Henry. That said, Ziege's goal was the highlight of the game and one that will be remembered for many years to come.
