As one of the founding teams of the MLS Sporting City Kansas could probably go away and do better. What puts this shirt so high up on the list is that this isn't some quirky third kit that'll get a couple of run-outs... This is their home shirt.
It's as if Adidas had a killer design but it somehow fell off the page and nobody noticed until it was too late. What they've created is a design that if it went back to the drawing board would be indistinguishable from the drawing board.
This blueprint jersey looks half-designed. Every architect and designer sitting at Sporting Park must be itching to get out their graphite pencils and protractors to finish the job.
History hasn't been kind to the Kansas fans either and if points were being given out for the worst shirt in MLS history the (then) Kansas City Wizards played their 1997 at home in a black shirt with rainbow sleeves. Googling that bad boy is only for the brave.
