9. Green Bay Packers
Players to Watch: Aaron Rodgers, Eddie Lacy, Jordy Nelson, James Jones, Datone Jones, Clay Matthews Ah, the Green Bay Packers. I've been a Packer fan my entire life, and I couldn't be any less impressed with their performance since their Super Bowl win over Pittsburgh a few years ago. Aaron Rodgers, a quarterback who can play out of his mind at times, seems to have been doused lately. He's playing languidly in the playoffs, and by losing Greg Jennings and the older Donald Driver, his WR core is taking a huge blow. Can Jordy Nelson step up again this year, and more importantly, can young Randall Cobb prove to be a worthy receiver and not just an electrifying kick returner? The reason I have the Packers here over the Bears, however, is because of the Pack's recent draft additions of Eddie Lacey, Johnathan Frankin, and Datone Jones. The first two mentioned players should feed off of each other perfectly to produce a running game that GB has lacked for over a decade, and Datone Jones may be able to give them an outside pass rush reminiscent of Reggie White. Combine Jones with the terrifying Clay Matthews, and I don't think Cutler and the Bears can beat the Packers in both meetings while maintaining a higher record (Sorry, Bears' fans). Look for the Packers to finish 10-6 and fourth in the NFC.
