8. Seattle Seahawks
Players to Watch: Russell Wilson, Marshawn Lynch, Percy Harvin, Richard Sherman, Brandon Browner The Seattle Seahawks were another team that shocked the nation last year with their scintillating success. In a similar boat as the 49ers, Russell Wilson is the key to their offense, and nobody really knows how successful he will be in his second season in the NFL. I'd like to think a repeat performance from him is improbable, but he has a certain aura about him that emanates nothing but positivity and success. With the major addition of the injury-plagued Percy Harvin, the Seahawks could be a very dangerous team in the NFC. Another mentionable aspect of their new offense this year is the addition of rookies Christine Michael (TAMU) and Spencer Ware (LSU). Predicting the value of already undervalued rookies is close to impossible; but, we're talking about coach Pete Carroll, the man who simply does not give a damn about veteran playing time or player salaries, for that matter. If the Seahawks defense can stop the run this year, their secondary will almost certainly shut down pass-heavy offenses. Look for Seattle to trade wins with the 49ers and finish the season 11-5 and fifth in the NFC.
