Peter Crouch is a unique player in modern football. Often mocked, sometimes maligned but a wildcard striker who has usually been good value for the manager who's signed him. Still an active footballer, Crouch has led a journeyman career with thirteen clubs to his name. It all started when he signed his first professional contract with Tottenham Hotspur on 2nd July 1998.

He never made an appearance, however, being loaned out to gain experience and then playing for QPR, Portsmouth (twice), Aston Villa, Southampton and Liverpool before making his way back to the team that had given him is official start in the game.

Crouch returned to Spurs in July 2009 and he would stay for two seasons scoring only 12 times in 73 appearances but bagging a crucial goal against Manchester City to earn the team a spot in the Champions League and becoming a club hero in the process.
