Chelsea flop Fernando Torres is still earning the £175,000-a-week he was offered as part of the deal he signed when he became a British transfer record £50 million acquisition by Chelsea in 2011 and, despite his recent poor performances, the Blues continue to allow the misfit to pick up his exorbitant wages. Torres signed a five-and-a-half-year deal with Chelsea three years ago, which still has over two seasons left to run, and incredibly the Blues have decided to stick with him rather than rid themselves of his ridiculous salary by putting him up for sale. The former Atletico Madrid man remains one of the Londoner's highest-paid performers despite only scoring five Premier League goals last season and must be laughing all the way to the bank. That may not last long however as reports suggest the Blues are finally prepared to flog the flop with a reported loan move to Napoli in the offering. It's hard to see what the Italians see in the unfortunate No.9 however with Torres enduring the most impotent spell in front of goal since his career began in 2000 last season.
