Newcastle United have had some seasoned international superstars represent the club down the years. Alan Shearer (60 England caps), Nolberto Solano (95 Peru caps) and Shay Given (128 caps) are just three Magpies players who have received more than a half-century of caps for their respective nations. The number of times those three players have represented their country will not come as a surprise to Newcastle supporters because they were exceptional footballers who performed extremely well in the Premier League, and transferred some of that form into the international arena.
