If there's one area the Magpies desperately need to strengthen this summer then it's centre-back - and Harry Maguire could fill a position at the heart of the Magpies defence for the next decade if they raid relegated Hull City for the 22-year-old. The 6ft 4in defender made more than 130 league appearances for Sheffield United before Hull paid £2.5 million to secure his services last summer and he has impressed both at the Tigers and during a loan spell at Wigan Athletic. Although he would need time to bed into the Premier League - meaning the Magpies would need to sign an experienced centre-back to play alongside him - Maguire has attracted interest from the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United, so highly is he rated.
