20 Most Important Players In The Premier League 2014/15

20. Aaron Ramsey - Arsenal

Arsenal may have broken the bank to bring Alexis Sanchez to the Emirates, but last season could have ended much differently if their Welsh midfielder had been able to participate during the campaign in its entirety. Having already announced himself back on the first-team stage with a fantastic goal versus Manchester City in the Community Shield, the former Cardiff youngster looks to be on track to lead Arsene Wenger's men towards the higher reaches of the league table once more. Totting up a total of ten goals in all competitions last season, despite being sidelined with long-term injuries for months, the Wales international is just as instrumental in the penalty area as his technical ability is during earlier phases of play. The 23-year-old has a point to prove and the label of national team captain to live up to. The purchase of Sanchez may have taken some goalscoring responsibility from his shoulders, but his bursting runs from midfield are bound to be a permanent fixture in Arsenal's title ambitions. Last season, the wheels came off the Gunners' chase for the Premier League trophy due to a host of injuries, with Ramsey being arguably the most important absence. After a solid pre-season and a top display against Man City, the Welshman looks set to enjoy his football again this time around.
