Okay, listen, it would be really, really, really funny if the Los Angeles Lakers passed on Lonzo Ball. Imagine how mad LaVar would get. There would be memes for days. Unfortunately, short of Markelle Fultz, the former UCLA Bruin is the best pick the Lakers could make. Ball is hands down the best facilitator in the draft: he simply sees the court in a different way than everyone else.

He led the NCAA in assists this past season with 7.6 per game. Add to that his knack for knocking down open three point shots in a Steph Curry-esque fashion and you have a player made for the modern NBA. There are some serious gripes against him: his shooting mechanics are wonky, his defence isn't very good at times, and his dad is really annoying.

However, the benefits he would bring to the the Purple and Gold outweigh the negatives. Better yet, it would allow them to slide D'Angelo Russell over to shooting guard, where his incredible scoring abilities would be more at home.

Virgil Atkinson hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
