Mickelson and the Masters go together like fish and chips, ham and eggs, North Korea and war mongering. Mickelson is a fantastic iron player, can hit it long off the tie and show a delicate touch around the greens. His driving can be a tad wild but those irons get him out of trouble more often than not. In twenty appearances, the Californian has won three times, has eight top-three finishes, 10 top-fives, and 14 top-tens. That is as impressive record as anyone. 2013 has been a mixed bag for Lefty, with one tournament win at the Phoenix Open, one top ten finish and not much else. However, after breaking his major duck at Augusta in 2004, Mickelson has proved himself to be a contender whenever the majors come around. That he has a caustic relationship with Woods would only add to the drama if they were both in the last pair on Sunday.
