It seems that Nigeria have a nack for poaching players from the England youth set up. To be fair, Iwobi was born in Nigeria. He has however been living in England since the age of four.

The nephew of legendary Nigerian footballer, Jay Jay Okocha, Iwobi joined Arsenal at the age of seven, rising through the Hale End academy to great acclaim. He even went on to represented England at Under-16, 17, and 18 levels. But it was in late 2015 when Iwobi fully rose to prominence, making his first team debuts in the League Cup, Champions League, and Premier League.

It was at this time when Nigeria came calling, managing to convince the youngster to make his debut for the Super Eagles. This of course left a potential England career impossible.

Much like Moses, the youngster has gone on to become a first team starter for his club, and has shown fantastic ability and maturity far beyond his age. The sky is the limit for Iwobi, abd with Sanchez, Ozil, and Cazorla mentoring him, it is very probable that he will turn out to be a world class player... unfortunately, just not for England.
