It just has not happened for Remy Cabella since his £10 million-plus transfer from Montpellier to St James' Park last summer. A player who is full of talent and tricks, Cabella has been unable to influence games in the attacking third and provide enough quality to help Newcastle add to their mediocre tally of 37 Premier League goals this season. Against West Brom Cabella attempted two shots, but one was blocked and the other was a weak one on target which Boaz Mygill easily gathered. Cabella also attempted eight dribbles but unfortunately they resulted in very little. The talent is definitely there - as proven away at Chelsea and Hull City earlier this year - but the confidence and application are lacking right now. Cabella needs to offer a better end product if he is ever to get even close to fulfilling his undoubted potential.
