5 Main Card Predictions For Bellator 131

5. Nam Phan vs. Mike Richman

Weight Class: Bantamweight Opening up the Bellator 131 main card is former UFC fighter Nam Phan, a popular name in the lower ranks of the promotion who couldn't quite find consistency or much success on the big stage. He was loved for his bouts with Leonard Garcia, which probably earned him a few more fights than most fighters with Phan's record would have had. Since being cut by the UFC, Phan (20-13) is 2-0, and is looking to build momentum in a larger promotion with national TV exposure. Phan meets another fighter that may be familiar to UFC fans, Mike Richman (17€“5). Richman appeared on the GSP season of The Ultimate Fighter, but lost his fight to get into the TUF house, and wound up in Bellator, where he's had ten fights since 2012 - a very busy fighter, all things considered. This should be an entertaining bout. Phan has said he wants to put on a show, and Richman should be willing to engage with him. Expect a war. We're calling Phan by TKO in the second or third.
