Newcastle United couldn't cope with the movement and quality of Andre Ayew last weekend at the Liberty Stadium. The Ghanian started out wide but drifted all over the shop, finding himself in tonnes of room time and time again. This is a ploy that Manchester United could use with their young Belgian international Adnan Januzaj, who was a surprise selection and match winner against Aston Villa last Friday night. Januzaj started just behind lone striker Wayne Rooney last week in a free role - popping up on the left hand side of the box to cut inside and pass a deflected effort into the far corner of Brad Guzan's goal. Rumours of a loan move to Newcastle's North East rivals Sunderland obviously spurred the youngster on... The 20-year-old, who was frozen out of the team for much of last season, will have regained a lot of confidence from that tidy finish at Villa Park and will be hoping to be given the platform to push on once again. The Magpies will have learned a lot about themselves during last weekend's humbling away at Swansea. Keeping a better defensive shape and winning key battles in the middle of the park will be high on their list of priorities, and how Januzaj performs will be key to those. If he's on song, it could be a long afternoon for Steve McClaren's men.
