5. The Patrice Evra Incident

Manchester United fans in particular won't have too many a nice word to say about the Uruguayan, especially after one of his most controversial moments in a Liverpool shirt in 2011. In December of that year, United and Liverpool had fought out a 1-1 draw at Anfield. During the contest, Suarez and Red Devils defender Patrice Evra had a coming together, and it would later transpire that Suarez had racially abused the United star. An eight-match suspension swiftly followed, along with a £40,000 fine. In the days following the controversy, Liverpool players would later cause another stir by regrettably sporting tee-shirts in support of the banned Uruguayan, as both he and the club's image were dragged through the mud. It was just one of several such controversial moments throughout Suarezs stay on Merseyside.
