Swansea's all action midfielder Shelvey has had Europa League exposure again already this term. A return of one goal and two assists in all competitions means he must do better to impress. Michael Laudrup is likely to steer the Swans through their group and reach the knockout stage. Big performances in Europe's B competition will enhance the claims of Shelvey to break back into the England squad. He has not been called for senior international duty since last November, so is something of an outsider but that does not mean Hodgson €“ who coached the player at Liverpool €“ will not take a look at Shelvey.
