5 Reasons Cardiff City Were Daft To Sack Malky Mackay (Despite Solskjaer Appointment)

Now that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been appointed as the new manager of Cardiff City it might be seen by some to be fruitless to be talking about Malky Mackay. In theory, the appointment of the Norwegian is a clear sign that the Welsh club have moved on. In some ways, it€™s a clever move by Vincent Tan as he has acquired a man that was always going to be a popular choice, especially after his time playing in the Premier League with Manchester United. It has been reported that Solskjaer has spoken to Sir Alex Ferguson about the job, and I€™m somewhat surprised that he is willing to take what is such a risky opportunity. I€™m a big fan and feel he has all the attributes to be a successful manager at Premier League level, but fear his reputation will be tarnished by Cardiff if it doesn€™t work out. So, in this slideshow the focus will be on Mackay €“ but there will be some mention of the Norwegian as well for good measure.
