5 Reasons Why England Won't Win Euro 2012?

5. The Attack

Wayne Rooney will miss two of the three group games which is of course a setback. Andy Carroll had a disappointing season at Liverpool though ended it in free scoring form, famously scoring against Everton in the 87th minute to knock them out of the FA cup. However, the lanky Englishman only managed nine strikes last season. Jermain Defoe was edged out of the Tottenham side last season by the fine form of Adebayor and the purchase of Louis Saha.He hasn€™t played a full 90 minutes in ANY of his 46 International appearances. He last scored against Bulgaria in a Euro 2012 qualifier in 2010. Danny Welbeck has had a brilliant season with Manchester United, forcing his way into the first team ahead of Javier Hernandez after a successful loan spell with Sunderland. He has partnered Wayne Rooney up front regularly this season and has forged a good striking partnership. Against Belgium he linked up with fellow team mate Ashley Young but it is not known if he is compatible alongside the likes of Carroll or Defoe. Verdict: No It's going to be another year of disappointment for England this summer. The best we an hope for is to avoid a slow and painful elimination on penalties. Do you think we can win the Euro's the summer? I want to hear your views - post your thoughts in the comment section below.
