5 Things We Learned From First Ever UFC Women's Strawweight Fight

2. Fans Are Into The Action Live

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GR888-cweCE Get the crowd into your ground game, and you're doing something right. There was no hometown fighter in Gadelha vs. Lahdemaki. Gadelha is Brazilian while Lahdemaki is Finnish. So there was really no reason for fans live at the venue to get into the fight, outside of what they saw in the cage. And to be honest - not all of them arrived early. That, however, is the norm at UFC events. Only the diehards really show up for the preliminary fights. Personally, attending live, I take in every fight and get the most value for my dollar, but that's just me. Those fans who did arrive early, however, certainly got into the bout. They were into the submission attempts in the first, into the sold takedowns Gadelha landed, and roared when Lahdemaki went for broke at the end. This made for one of the more exciting bouts we have seen on UFC's Fight Pass matches.
