5 Things We Learned From The Ultimate Fighter 20

5. The Rankings Work Well

One major change this season was the idea of ranking fighters. It worked, and worked well. Fighters knew who they would be facing well in advance, giving them time to prepare. And while you might say "well that means there are no surprises" - well it was anything but the case. The surprises came by way of upsets, such as Randa Markos making it all the way to the semi-finals. This is a concept the UFC needs to keep around for future seasons. Fighters can still be ranked even when you're not bringing in a whole new weight class, just set up rankings based on their record and skill level prior to each season.
