1. Rashad Evans
Rashad Evans (22-2-1) is a former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion and recently hinted that he would drop down to 185lbs to fight Silva. This would be a huge fight and could potentially be Silvas biggest challenge to date inside the octagon. Evans is an accomplished striker with very fast hands and knockout power. He is also one of the best wrestlers in the UFC and his ability to switch from striking to landing a takedown would give Anderson Silva big problems inside the cage. Evans is quick, explosive and intelligent and would provide Silva with an excellent test. For Evans the blueprint has already been laid down by Sonnen, the difference being Evans is more capable at carrying it out. Evans has the striking pedigree to worry Anderson standing and the wrestling ability to get him down and keep him down whilst on the mat. If Evans can execute the game plan Sonnen laid out than he has an excellent chance of defeating the champion. Likely method of victory: Rashad Evans by decision in a dominating wrestling performance.
