5 Upcoming MMA Fights We Wish Were In The Big Leagues

2. Satoshi Ishii vs. Mirko Cro-Cop 2

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KPFHr5gH140 This could be the second best fight you'll find outside the big leagues at heavyweight, and we say second only because Cro Cop probably has less to offer than Kharitonov at this point. However, that having been said, last month in Japan, Cro Cop won the IGF heavyweight championship after he defeated Ishii by TKO due to a doctor's stoppage. In short, while on bottom, a Cro Cop elbow opened up a nasty cut on Ishii, and the fight was called. It's not how you want to see a bout between two name heavyweights end, and an immediate rematch has been scheduled, which means Ishii has a lot of work in his near future. Mirko Cro-Cop (29€“11€“2 (1)), meanwhile, will be looking for his thirtieth win overall, and first two-fight win streak since 2010. His UFC run was a bust, and he's just 2-1 since leaving the promotion and briefly retiring. He hasn't looked great, but the Ishii win was big, and he still has name value, especially in Japan.
