5 West Brom Players Who Will Target NUFC At Set-Pieces

3. Gareth McAuley

There'll be no surprises that a bit of a habit is forming here and that the majority of the names on this list are big, six-foot-plus defenders - but they're exactly the sort of players that Tony Pulis will look to start at St James' Park. Gareth McAuley has not scored so far this Premier League campaign and he is not exactly prolific, but five goals for Northern Ireland and 33 career league strikes shows he can find the target from time to time. In addition, McAuley also headed in against Newcastle during the Baggies' 3-2 victory at St James' Park back in December 2011. The 6ft 3in centre-back is often the target when West Brom bombard the opposition box with crosses - and McAuley will take every opportunity, particularly from set-pieces, to give the Magpies defence an extremely-uncomfortable afternoon.
