3. Serge Aurier
Tony Marshall/EMPICS SportHe may have only played three games at the World Cup, but Serge Aurier certainly showed why
Arsenal are reportedly pursuing his services. He provided both of the assists in the Ivory Coasts only win over Japan in their first match, igniting yet more talk that he will be leaving Toulouse this summer. Although a right back, Aurier is predominantly renowned for his attacking capabilities. He weighed in with six goals and six assists last season, an outstanding return for a defender and at just 21-years-old, there is plenty of time for the Ivorian to develop. His pace and power make him the ideal right back for any Premier League side, while his offensive traits also suit the style of Englands top division. You only have to look at the rise of Leighton Baines and Seamus Coleman to see that attacking full backs are becoming increasingly common in England. As stated, Arsenal are long-term admirers of Aurier and their
interest is expected to increase this summer as the North London club look to replace Bacary Sagna. However,
Tottenham are now also thought to be entering the race for the Aurier, a sign that Arsene Wenger will have to act fast if he wants to sign the promising full back.
